Honey extraction (also known as honey spinning) is an important step in the harvesting process. It begins with the selection of comb frames that have been placed in a nectar-rich area for about 7\u20138 days, or when at least 70% of the cells are capped. This ensures that the honey is aromatic and concentrated.
The process involves gently brushing off bees from the comb, uncapping the sealed cells with a knife, and placing the frames into a honey extractor. Using centrifugal force, the honey is spun out of the comb and filtered through a mesh to remove impurities before being collected in a tank. The honey then undergoes a moisture reduction process to achieve the ideal standard of 18.5% moisture content.<\/div>\n\n\n\n
